Hi There,

I don't know that I would say she is THE most intriguing character, but boy do I love her! In fact, I think some of the headlining women of the x-men could all have their own movies, because they have a nice combination of two things going for them: intense, far-reaching powers that would allow them to easily be solo, and complicated, in-depth storylines and backgrounds, ripe for some good characterization.

I checked that list, and Marvel has no female movies slated (at least ones that I am familiar with). And truthfully I don't think they'll be doing a Storm film for a long time. Unlike say Iron Man, where people were joned about his character, they wanted to do a Storm film not for the coolness of Storm, but because Halle seemed hot at the time. Now that she doesn't, no need to.

When you guys say star women, what is your criteria? Because really all these movies will have women in there somewhere (except maybe the one about the fall of Lucifer). And there are quite a few team films slated, so they could go either way. Take Avengers - some times they have had quite a few women, other times not so much. Just by doing a quick scan, if you wanted to look at female led films, here's what I noticed:

Wonder Woman - I'll post about this on the higher thread, but technically it's on the roster.

Barbarella - Say what you will about it, but the lead is female.

Witchblade - They have a poster, and not even an actor yet (I don't think). But unfortunately visually it will look closer to the comic version than the tv version.

Red Sonja - Really could go either way, since Rodriguez is directing it.

Ghost In The Shell I have heard is awesome! Battle Angel I haven't heard about, but both are based on manga characters which seem to be strong. And both are being done by (I want to say Cameron & Spielberg?). So these could be very good.

WHEN THE HELL ARE THEY GOING TO GET WONDER WOMAN FILM OFF THE GROUND?!?!?!

I am also anxious about Marvel Studios possibly doing their next X-Men film, hopefully about Storm, since "WOLVERINE" will come out soon and many fanboys have said that they should make a film about Storm, since she's the most intriguing female X-Man superhero.
