Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon On Location for "Sex and the City: The Movie on Park Avenue, New York, New York September 21 2007The sequel is putting down roots.  Mark the date of May 28, 2010 in your calendar for the release of Sex and the City 2.  Just keep in mind the films about women don’t usually declare their arrival over a year before they are released and before a single scene has been shot.

I would imagine that no other women centric films will go near that weekend.  It would be kind of stupid since I have a suspicion it will be just as big as the first film which made $57 million on its opening weekend.

I just hope the script is good. Thinking about “Legally Blonde 2″ and how they killed that potential franchise because they didn’t want to let the original screenwriters take the time to write the sequel still makes me sad.
