in Festivals

lunafest_toutThe folks who bring us the yummy lunabars are also the ones behind Lunafest – a traveling festival of films by and about women – that are happening in communities across the country.

They are looking for submissions for the next festival and the deadline is APRIL 30. Anyone can submit a film (it must be 20 minutes or less) and embody the inspirational roles of women in our local, national and international communities.  They would especially love to get animated, documentary, international and comic pieces.  Winning filmmakers get $1,000.

Learn more about submitting your film here.

Lunafest is on the road right now and is happening in communities across the country from Cedar Rapids, IA to Portland, OR to Boston, MA. Find out when Lunafest is coming to your neighborhood here.

The festival is completely funded by Luna.  100% of the proceeds are donated to charity — 15% to the breast cancer fund and 85% goes back into the host community.

Kind of makes me want to go out and buy some luna bars.
