I saw this movie - but felt strangely unengaged, not because of the subject but because of the treatment.[read- direction].

I saw The September Issue this weekend and thought it was great. I went with a high school teacher friend, and she was shocked at how unnuturing and how Wintour cut images from the magazine. I think we are shocked not to see an Office Mother from a leader. I mean, it's business. For every ad in the mag, there were dozens of unused shoots. Wintour is successful and about business. I'm so tired of the Disneyfied mother-boss or the screwed up, winsomely insecure RomCom boss.

I was also impressed by the un-botoxed faces of editors. Especially after seeing Jennifer's Body. I mean, I'm happy for the writer and director but at 23, Megan Fox's face is Botoxed within an inch of it's life. Here's Megan screaming for her life, here's Megan being fierce and attacking with teeth, here's Megan being confused, and all you see is a shiny frosen bumper above the nose line. No wonder they say her acting is flat. Her face is more Botoxed than not. Check out every still (no pun intended) image of the movie - flatline above the nose line.
