Wow Melissa, just awesome! You sounded terrific.

I am SO jazzed about Kathryn Bigelow’s Oscar nomination (and DGA win) and the success of THE HURT LOCKER.

Keep the great news & views comin’!

Great interview, congratulations…covered a lot. (Good for you correcting the interviewer’s off-hand statement that The Hurt Locker is a “boys’ film”…many others would have just let that pass…)

Great job, Melissa: passionate, informed, bravo :-)

Interesting, tho, that with his perfect British accent, the interview didn’t waste a single minute asking you about AN EDUCATION. Me, I’m planning to beat more drums for those noms too!

Here’s the truth as I see it: the 21st Century cries out for male/female collaborations (this year Bigelow/Boal & Scherfig/Hornby, & last year the Boyle/Tandan team).

You were so right to invoke Michelle Obama in this context. We must all learn to look for the win/win together or the whole planet is doomed!!!

You Go, Girl :-)

Fantastic interview, Melissa! So glad lots of people can have an opportunity to hear you, and learn more about women in the film world and what they are up against. But, also the hope of what girls can grow up seeing, as more women are given opportunities. I really hope Kathryn Bigelow wins! I completely agree with you that she dug deep. I thought it was a wonderful film to show what can be the destruction of our soldiers souls..
