So it wasn’t perfect, but it’s the beginning and next time will be better. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
If you can make it through the first couple of minutes of me talking to myself about Kathryn Bigelow and the Oscars, the show starts to rock when Sasha Stone of Awards Daily joins.

Don’t be so hard on yourself, Melissa! When I was a freshwoman I had a radio show at the college radio station, THAT was embarassing. The show was great, I love Sasha Stone, great to know you’re friends. Funny, your voice is sweeter than I imagined it… And I did not know Barbra was presenting an award. I swear to god, if she shows up on stage to present the best director award I won’t even see Bigelow winning because I’ll have a stroke or something.

That was entertaining. I’m not sure I agree about James Cameron, as A) I think he genuinely wants his ex-wife and friend to win the Oscar and also wants his picture to get recognition as well and B) I rather like Bigelow’s 90s output (Strange Days, Point Break, etc). Oh, and I must make note: The Blind Side did get generally positive reviews (around 70% on Rotten Tomatoes).
