Here are my bets as to who will pick up Sunday night’s awards.  Also don’t forget, the Indie Spirit Awards are tonight at 8pm.  You can watch it live on IFC.  Here are the nominees.

God, I hope you’re right about Kathryn Bigelow. I can’t believe how far we HAVEN’T come in the film industry.

Everyone seems to be rooting for Sandra Bullock to win Best Actress, and I just don’t get why? The only reason she’s even nominated is IMO because The Blind Side was a huge hit. There was nothing extraordinary about her acting in that movie. And I say that as someone who enjoys her movies and her personality a lot. I just don’t feel like she is the best this year compared to Sidibe, Streep, Mirren and even Mulligan. Am I the only one not hoping for Sandy to take it on Sunday?

Cant believe how spot-on you were!
Without getting into any debates, I do feel it is a proud moment for women in the entertainment industry. These things are more symbolic but then again being the 4th women EVER to be nominated and the first woman EVER to win the award speaks volumes.
