Some good news.  The awesome comedy of Julia Louis-Dreyfus is being publicly recognized this morning in Hollywood with Julia receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In a piece in Variety Dreyfus talked about her comedy idols:

I’ve always admired women who are not afraid of making themselves look bad or foolish to get a laugh,  she says, citing (in addition to Ball and Moore) Madeline Kahn, Teri Garr, Valerie Harper and Cloris Leachman as inspirations.

Some highlights of Julia’s career:

  • She was hired to appear on Saturday Night Live at 21
  • She was nominated six times for an Emmy for her work on Seinfeld
  • Two words: Sponge Worthy (or is it one word?)
  • She’s won two Emmys for her work on The New Adventures of Old Christine.
  • She’s making hysterical commercials for Healthy Choice with Jane Lynch
