Lisa Cholodenko’s, The Kids Are All Right, arrives in theatres on July 9 and it’s terrific. Next week I will see it for a second time. It’s that good. Stars Julianne Moore and Annette Bening as a long time married couple whose family is thrown for a loop when their teenage kids find the sperm donor dad played by Mark Ruffalo.
Don’t just take my word for it. Check out this featurette.

ooooh bad title!
I thought it was another rockumentary!
If I didn’t see this post, I would have completely dismissed it. I wonder how many others are doing the same? I hope they get some good publicity out there that re associates those lyrics with this story.
It’s been too long since Laurel Canyon. I’ve been waiting for a Lisa Cholodenko movie for that long. Whether or not you like her subject matter is irrelevant, everything she makes is quality storytelling. I’ve been excited about this film for a very long time.
