Top People in Media According to the Guardian

The Guardian has issues its top 100 people in media list. Women make up on 18 of the 100. 

Here is the criteria to get on the list:
A panel of experienced media watchers from the worlds of politics, journalism, advertising, television and the internet judged entrants using three criteria: cultural influence, economic clout and political power, and here is the list of people who picked the list.

Here are the women:

16- Rebekah Brooks – Chief Executive, News International
18- Elisabeth Murdoch – chairman and chief executive, Shine Group
21- Helen Boaden – director, BBC News
25- Dame Marjorie Scardino – Chief Executive, Pearson
34- Tessa Ross – controller, Film4
36- Dame Gail Rebuck – chairman and chief executive, Random House
42- Roisin Donnelly – corporate marketing director and head of marketing, Procter & Gamble UK and Ireland
45- Jana Bennett – director of vision, BBC
50- Cilla Snowball – chief executive, AMV Group; chairman, AMV BBDO
62- Sly Bailey – chief executive, Trinity Mirror
63- Janice Hadlow – controller, BBC2
69- Jane Bruton – editor, Grazia
80- Angela Jain – head of E4
82- Martha Lane Fox – UK digital champion
85- Dawn Airey – chairman and chief executive, Channel Five
