Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl created one of the most divisive and fascinating female characters in recent history with Amy Dunne. With a director (David Fincher) and the role of Nick (Ben Affleck) secured, the plum role of Amy has gone to Rosamund Pike who was last seen in Jack Reacher. Flynn adapted the screenplay and Reese Witherspoon will be producing.

The pairing of Melissa McCarthy and Paul Feig has been comedy gold. And it looks like it’s going to happen again. McCarthy is in early talks to star in Feig’s Susan Cooper–that follows a female James Bond character which Feig also wrote.
