Jennifer Lawrence is taking it to the next level. She is set to star in and produce The Rules of Inheritance based on Claire Bidwell Smith’s memoir of the same title.
The story centers on Bidwell Smith’s coming of age after both her parents are diagnosed with cancer when she’s a teenager. To cope, she throws herself into anything she can–partying, traveling, men–but ultimately finds herself in this tragic process.
The film will be directed by Susanne Bier with a script written by Abi Morgan. Bier previously directed Lawrence (alongside Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper) in the upcoming Serena.
The talent of these three women working together on this film is guaranteed to create something really excellent. We are looking forward to this one.
