Kathryn Bigelow Nominated for DGA Award

nullThe Directors Guild of America announced their nominees for film today. Kathryn Bigelow was nominated for Zero Dark Thirty. Bigelow previously won the DGA in 2009 for The Hurt Locker and was the first woman to win the award.

This second nomination makes her the first woman ever to be nominated twice in the feature category. According to a twitter conversation yesterday, Barbara Kopple has won twice in the documentary category. With Academy Award nominees to be announced Thursday, we're pretty sure she is a lock to make history again with her second Academy Award nomination.

The DGA awards will be held on February 2. You can find the full list of nominees at the link below.
