Noelle Valdivia and Corinne Kingsbury Sell Comedy Series Set in the Afterlife to TV Land

Noelle Valdivia (“Masters of Sex”) and Corinne Kingsbury (“The Newsroom”) have sold a half-hour comedy series, tentatively titled “Elsewhere,” to TV Land.

Given the premise, it sounds as though “Elsewhere” will definitely be a dark comedy. The show follows a successful, but superficial, woman who has an epiphany — she cares about the wrong things in life. But this revelation doesn’t come until she’s dead. She has a second chance at a more enlightened existence in purgatory after being killed in a car accident.

Deadline reports that Valdivia and Kingsbury are longtime friends who typically work alone. Looks like the buddies also make great writing partners.

Robin Schwartz (“Manhattan Love Story”) will EP.

TV Land recently ordered an anthology series based on the 80s cult classic “Heathers.”
