Television Academy Foundation Appoints Madeline Di Nonno as Chair

The Television Academy Foundation has elected Madeline Di Nonno as as its new chair. The Foundation is the Television Academy’s charitable arm and Di Nonno comes to the job from being chief executive officer of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media.

According to the official announcement, Di Nonno will guide the board to “expand the Television Academy Foundation’s mission to identify, advance, and empower future television leaders.”

“I am honored and privileged to serve as chair and excited to guide the Foundation as we embark on an extremely dynamic period in television history,” said Di Nonno. “I look forward to influencing our collective efforts to shape and significantly impact the next generation of television professionals.”

A television veteran, Di Nonno “brings over 30 years of executive leadership experience in the entertainment, nonprofit, digital media, and consumer packaged goods industries to her new role. Di Nonno has also served in executive positions at Anchor Bay Entertainment/Starz Media, Hallmark Channel, Universal Studios Home Video, and ABC Television Network.”

Additionally, Margaret Loesch, executive chairman of the Kid Genius Cartoon Channel, was elected as vice chair. “The incoming officers will play a critical role in engaging and educating the next generation of television professionals through existing programming, while working to build a significant endowment to provide growth and sustainability as part of the ongoing New Destination Campaign,” the announcement details.
