Mike Nichols directing 'The Graduate'One of Mike Nichols’ best-known collaborators has helmed a documentary about the Oscar-winning director and one of his most beloved films. 

Elaine May has directed an "American Masters" episode for PBS about her former comedy partner, focusing on the making of "The Graduate."

The trailer below includes interviews with star Dustin Hoffman and soundtrack crooner Paul Simon, who recalls a hilarious early response to the film.

"Mike Nichols: Directing ‘The Graduate’" will air on January 29 on PBS.
