Trailer Watch: Judy Blume’s Tiger Eyes – Starring Willa Holland

nullTeenagers of many generations have connected to Judy Blume’s iconic novels that focus on their interior lives. It’s actually pretty surprising that none of Blume’s work hasn’t been given the film treatment until now. The first to be adapted is Blume’s 1981 novel, Tiger Eyes

Tiger Eyes follows 17 year old Davy (Willa Holland) who moves to a small New Mexico town with her mother and brother after the unexpected and violent death of her father. Davy is grieving over the loss of her father and adjusting to life in a new place. It isn’t until she makes a friend in Wolf (Tatanka Means) whose connection with Davy helps her to find herself again.

Blume co-wrote the screenplay alongside her son, Lawrence Blume, who directed.

Tiger Eyes hits theaters and VOD on June 7th.
