Writer-Director Pamela Romanowsky’s ‘The Adderall Diaries’ Acquired by A24

Pamela Romanowsky’s feature debut, “The Adderall Diaries,” has found distribution via A24.

Based on the memoir of the same name, the drama stars James Franco as author Stephen Elliott, a journalist who becomes engrossed in the murder trial of a man accused of killing his wife. Stephen also falls for a crime reporter while covering the story.

The film, which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Amber Heard.

Romanowsky previously collaborated with Franco on “The Color of Time,” a loose biopic of poet C.K. Williams that was directed by a dozen indie filmmakers.
