Sir Patrick Stewart has always been an outspoken advocate on violence against women speaking out at conferences and organizations. This past weekend, Stewart was at Comicpalooza in Texas. When Stewart fan, Heather Skye thanked Stewart for his Amnesty International speech that helped her to deal with the abuse she had suffered from in her life, she asked him to share what he was most proud of in his life other than acting.
Stewart gave an passionate and wise speech about his work on violence against women citing his own childhood experiences. Stewart shared this advice to with the men in the audience: “It’s in our hands to stop violence against women.”
