Jocelyn Towne and Simon Helberg Sign Deal With Warner Bros. TV

The husband-and-wife team of writer-director-actress Jocelyn Towne and “Big Bang Theory” star Simon Helberg has signed an exclusive two-year deal with Warner Bros. TV.

Via their Wildline Entertainment production company, Towne and Helberg will develop series with producer Cora Olson.

Among the company’s first projects are a half-hour comedy written by Helberg and a historical epic called “Legacy of Kings” about Alexander the Great. The latter is based on Eleanor Herman’s “Blood of Gods and Royals” historical fiction series.

“It’s thrilling to meet these characters just as they are discovering their true identities,” said Towne of the project. “We envision developing this as a historically rooted epic, but for a younger crowd.”
