Angela Kinsey to Co-Write and Star in Female Buddy Comedy

The truly challenging thing after a breakup isn’t staying friends with your ex. It’s making friends with your ex’s new lover.

But what if it wasn’t so hard? That’s the premise that Angela Kinsey, AKA Angela from The Office, is batting around with I Love Your Ex, the provisionally titled single-camera sitcom that she’s co-creating and will star in.

EP’d by The Big C creator Darlene Hunt, I Love Your Ex will be a buddy comedy about two women — the current and the former girlfriends of one dude, respectively — who become fast friends, much to the consternation of said dude. Kinsey’s co-creators are Cougar Town writers Rachel Specter and Audrey Wauchope.

Since the similarly themed The Other Women turned out not so great, we’d love a fresh new take on this material.
