April Mullen has secured distribution for her latest film. A press release announced that Saban Films acquired North American rights to “Wander,” a conspiracy thriller.
“Wander” follows Arthur Bretnik (Aaron Eckhart), a “mentally unstable private investigator who, after being hired to probe a suspicious death in the town of Wander, becomes convinced the case is linked to the same ‘conspiracy cover up’ that caused the death of his daughter,” the film’s synopsis teases. Heather Graham co-stars.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Saban on releasing ‘Wander’ to the masses. The film honors all the silent warriors who persevere and fight for the light through the darkest of circumstances,” said Mullen.
Mullen’s 2016 feature “Below Her Mouth” was shot with an all-female crew. The erotic thriller that details two women’s lives made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Her other pics include “Farhope Tower” and “Badsville.” “The Rookie,” “The 100,” and “Wynonna Earp” are among her TV credits.
“Find your voice, and then get focused,” Mullen urged when we asked her advice for women directors. “Start creating and create everyday. Dare to explore, challenge yourself, and live fully — it will amplify your work. Set the bar higher than you can imagine.”
