Theater chain ArcLight Cinemas will launch the inaugural ArcLight Presents Women in Entertainment Summit, set to take place at the Hollywood Dome on November 5.
ArcLight’s first venture into live programming will be hosted by the privately owned company’s Executive Vice President Gretchen McCourt and will feature keynotes from actress Geena Davis, founder of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, and Cathy Schulman, President of Women in Film.
The summit will bring together leaders in the worlds of film, television, fashion, marketing and music to spark dialogue about some of the most pressing issues affecting women in entertainment, including human rights and women’s leadership.
“As women, our leadership roles keep expanding, and with them, the challenges we face in the entertainment industry. We are thrilled to get involved in changing the face of entertainment by cultivating these discussions,” said McCourt in a press release.
“We’re excited to partner with ArcLight on this initiative. The only way to create change is to have key entertainment industry decision makers take the lead by driving opportunities for women on-screen and behind the scenes,” explained Davis.
Tickets for the event are on sale now.
