2014 is turning out to be the Year of Beyonce, and it’s only half over.
Riding high on the creative and commercial success of her self-titled album released late last year, Queen Bey has been enjoying blockbuster sales, a long and triumphant tour (more of a victory lap around the world), and, no doubt, endorsement deals up the wazoo.
All of which has led Forbes to put her on top of their Celebrity 100 List, a ranking of earnings and fame.
Notably, half of the top-ten celebs on the list are women. Two come from television (Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres), and the other two, like Beyonce, come from music (Rihanna and Katy Perry).
Unsurprisingly, Jennifer Lawrence is the highest film-related female celebrity to make the list. She clocks in at #12. (Yes, Beyonce, Oprah, Ellen, Rihanna, and Katy Perry have all dabbled to varying extents in movies, but their popularity and influence comes chiefly from other media.)
Here are the women who made the Celebrity 10. To see the full Forbes list, click here.
