Cecily Strong of “SNL” and Jessica Chastain of, well, movie-star fame have been cast in the upcoming comedy “Plus One.”
Written by April Prosser, “Plus One” will be one of the first projects out of the gate for the recently formed Gloria Sanchez Productions, which is dedicated to female-led comedies.
According to Tracking Board, Strong will play a woman named Summer, “a loud, sexually oversharing wild card who, as the only single friend Rachel (Chastain) has left, becomes her wing woman by default.”
Strong will also appear in the female “Ghostbusters” and the Melissa McCarthy vehicle “Michelle Darnell.” Chastian will next be seen in “Crimson Peak,” out October 16.
