‘Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce’ Renewed for 3 More Seasons

Bravo’s first-ever scripted series, “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce,” has been renewed for a surprising three seasons.

Lisa Edelstein (“Castle”) stars in the dramedy as self-help writer Abby McCarthy who turns to her friends Phoebe (Beau Garett), Delia (Necar Zadegan) and Jo (Alanna Ubach) through a post-40 divorce.

“With our first foray into scripted, Bravo’s viewers fell in love with Abby and her close-knit group of friends experiencing the fabulous joys and deep disappointments of juggling dating, careers, family and relationships,” said Frances Berwick, president of lifestyle networks and NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. “We are all excited to see what’s next for Abby and her friends.”

Season 2’s finale was the most watched yet of the series, with 1.2 million viewers.

Back when the series premiered, our TV columnist Sara Stewart called it one of the best things to happen to Bravo. Apparently the network agrees — a three season renewal is an impressive commitment.
