Iliza Shlesinger has a new small screen project in the works. The standup’s multi-camera comedy about siblings, “Halfway There,” has received a put pilot commitment from CBS. Hailing from “I Hate My Teenage Daughter” creators Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Plummer-Kreame, the potential show sees Shlesinger starring and co-writing alongside Bilsing-Graham and Plummer-Kreame.
According to Deadline, “Halfway There” “centers on a comic (Shlesinger) who prides herself on ‘guiding women’ in her act. She is forced to put that to practical use when her half-sister moves in with her.”
Shlesinger recently released her fourth Netflix stand-up special, “Elder Millennial.” Last year she hosted a late night limited run talk show on Freeform, “Truth & Iliza.” The multi-hyphenate has supporting roles in a couple of upcoming films: “Instant Family,” a comedy about a couple that adopts three children, and “Wonderland,” a crime drama that centers on an ex-convict determined to get to the bottom of a murder conspiracy.
