Juliette Binoche will be celebrated at the 32nd European Film Awards. The Oscar-winning French actress is set to receive the European Achievement in World Cinema Award, The Hollywood Reporter confirms. The lifetime achievement honor is “presented to an European filmmaker who has had a global impact on the cinema industry.”
A three-time European Film Award winner, Binoche has taken home hardware for her roles in “The Lovers on the Bridge,” “Chocolat,” and “The English Patient.” She received an Oscar for her role in the latter.
Binoche served as President of the 2019 Berlinale International Jury. “Non-Fiction,” “High Life,” and “Let the Sunshine In” are among Binoche’s recent credits. Claire Denis directed the latter two features.
The European Film Awards will take place November 7 in Berlin.
