Kaley Cuoco is flying high. The “Big Bang Theory” alumna just signed an “expansive new agreement” at Warner Bros. TV which includes a series pickup of “The Flight Attendant,” a thriller starring and exec produced by Cuoco that will be a part of WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming platform. Deadline confirmed the news.
“The multi-faceted pact includes a new two-year pod deal for Cuoco’s production company, Yes, Norman Productions, and a talent holding provision for Cuoco’s acting services beyond ‘The Flight Attendant,’ with Warner Bros. TV committed to developing new series projects, including multi-camera and single-camera half-hour comedies and hourlong dramedies, with an eye toward her starring,” the source notes.
Warner Bros. TV is the studio behind “The Big Bang Theory.” The hugely popular sitcom concluded its 12th and final season on CBS earlier this year. Cuoco’s role as Penny made her one of TV’s highest paid actors. She initially signed a deal with WBTV in 2017.
“I love that Warner Bros. is my home away from home, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue this incredibly collaborative and gratifying relationship,” said Cuoco in a statement. “They’re stuck with me now!”
Suzanne McCormack serves as SVP of Yes, Norman Productions. Cuoco launched the company in 2017. Besides “The Flight Attendant,” its upcoming projects include psychological thriller “Sick Girl” and “Harley Quinn,” an animated series about Margot Robbie’s baseball bat-wielding “Suicide Squad” character voiced by Cuoco. The latter is set to land at the DC Universe streaming service.
“8 Simple Rules” and “Charmed” are among Cuoco’s other acting credits.
