Over the last couple of years, Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has been working in the theatre in Europe. Her latest show, Privte Lives is about to transfer to Broadway.
Here is Cattrall talking about why she took the part. In the accompanying piece from USA Today, she talks about why the stage is a great place for older actresses:
“You turn 35 and the number of scripts submitted shrinks by half. Most movies are about photographing beautiful people of a certain age. But I’m still interested in telling stories — especially about women my age. And there’s longevity in theater.”
