Leslie Jones has another stand-up special on the way. Netflix has announced the “Saturday Night Live” star will debut a one-hour comedy set on the streamer next year.
A comedian, actress, and writer, Jones previously released special “Problem Child.” She has also performed for “Def Comedy Jam” and “Laugh Factory.”
Jones has received three Emmy nominations for her work on “SNL,” including a 2019 nod in the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics category. She is being recognized for her work on the song “The Upper East Side.” She previously nabbed two nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
The multi-hyphenate earned raves for her coverage of the most recent summer and winter Olympic Games. She hosted the 2017 BET Awards and wrote for the 2014 edition.
You can catch Jones next as the voice of Zeta in “The Angry Birds Movie 2,” out August 14. Also on her slate are “Coming 2 America” and crime comedy “Queenpins.” The latter will be directed by Gita Pullapilly and Aron Gaudet (“Beneath the Harvest Sky”).
