Liv Ullmann Awarded Coolest-Sounding Honor Ever for ‘Miss Julie’

Liv Ullmann will receive the Nordic Honorary Dragon Award from the Goteborg Film Festival (Jan. 23 — Feb. 2, 2015) in Sweden.

The Norwegian actress and director will attend the festival, which will screen Miss Julie and feature a spotlight on films from Norway. Miss Julie stars Jessica Chastain and Colin Farrell as an Irish noblewoman and a servant, respectively, who seduce each other with cruel intentions.

“Liv Ullmann is one of the most prominent people in Norwegian film history, both as an actor and a director,” commented the festival. “Her acuity and sensitivity have left profound impressions on film-lovers across the world. In Miss Julie, she approaches Strindberg with precisely the intelligence and elegance that make her a perfect recipient of the Nordic Honorary Dragon Award.”
