Martha Stewart Doc Coming to Netflix

Stewart: Harper's BAZAAR/YouTube

A documentary about Martha Stewart is heading to Netflix. From “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry” director R.J. Cutler, the doc will explore the “life and times” of the businesswoman and baker extraordinaire. Variety broke the news.

Specifics of the project remain unknown, but the doc will likely chart Stewart’s rise from a teen model and later a stockbroker to a beloved cookbook author, television host, magazine editor-in-chief, and America’s first female self-made billionaire. The media mogul’s empire was in question following a prison sentence for insider trading, but Stewart’s “current net worth is reported at roughly $400 million,” the source details. “I knew I was strong going in and I was certainly stronger coming out,” Stewart has said of her time behind bars.

No word on when to expect the project.

Another Netflix doc on our radar, Kristine Stolakis’ “Pray Away,” will hit the streamer in August. The Tribeca title explores the long-term effects on conversion therapy on former leaders of the “pray the gay away” movement and its survivors.
