Former Buffy The Vampire Slayer writer, Marti Noxon, has been brought in to write the script for MGM’s Tomb Raider reboot.
Noxon most recently worked on an adaptation of The Glass Castle (with Jennifer Lawrence attached to star) and did a rewrite of The Anubis Tapestry. Some of her previous film credits include the remake of Fright Night and I Am Four.
Graham King is developing the film and will also produce through his company GK Films. He’s been working with MGM to get this off the ground for sometime now. While there are no details on the story thus far, speculation states that it will follow Lara Croft on one of her worldwide adventures.
Judging from Noxon’s excellent work on Buffy, she’s a perfect fit to reboot Tomb Raider into something really great.
