After a quarter-century in Hollywood, Mary-Louise Parker will reflect on her life in a memoir — though not necessarily about her career.
In Dear Mr. You, “an autobiographical literary work of nonfiction,” Parker will write letters to men who have played a significant role in her life. It will be out next fall. The actress has previously penned a handful of columns for Esquire.
Parker is best known for playing Nancy Botwin on Showtime’s Weeds. She won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her performance in HBO’s Angels in America, as well as a Tony for her stage work in Proof.
Parker is also busy fielding two potential series. She has signed on to the NBC single-camera sitcom Feed Me, which focuses on a dysfunctional family and the restaurant they own. She is also the presumed star of a new project by Showtime that will adapt Mary Karr’s memoirs into a TV series.
