Mila Kunis is bringing a page-turner to the screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the “Bad Moms” actress is set to topline and produce Netflix’s adaptation of “Luckiest Girl Alive.”
Based on the bestselling novel by Jessica Knoll, “Luckiest Girl Alive” tells the story of Ani FaNelli, a 20-something New Yorker with a glamorous job at a magazine and a picture-perfect, rich fiancé. She’s spent years reinventing herself after a traumatic experience in her teen years left her desperate to leave the past behind her — a past that becomes impossible to escape when the director of a crime documentary invites her to revisit the incident that changed her life.
Kroll is penning the adaptation and will exec produce.
“Breaking News in Yuba County” and “The Spy Who Dumped Me” are among Kunis’ more recent credits.
Other Netflix projects on our radar include “Sulwe,” an animated musical based on Lupita Nyong’o’s children’s book about colorism and self-love, and “The Cipher,” a thriller about an FBI agent starring Jennifer Lopez.
