Close to a year after beloved screenwriter/director Nora Ephron died due to complications from leukemia comes the news that HBO will be developing a documentary about Ephron’s life.
Her son, journalist Jacob Bernstein, is working with HBO to develop the project titled Everything is Copy. The title originates from a lesson that Ephron’s mother, Phoebe a writer, passed on to her. Bernstein will direct and co-produce the documentary alongside Nick Hooker who will co-direct and producers Carly Hugo and Matt Parker.
Recently, Ephron’s play Lucky Guy starring Tom Hanks debuted on Broadway. And Bernstein just published in March a piece about his mother’s final days in New York Times Magazine. It’s a must read.
Here’s a bit from Tom Hanks paying tribute to Ephron at the recent Women in the World Summit.
