Patricia Arquette has signed on to another Apple TV+ series. The Oscar and Emmy winner is already attached to star in workplace thriller “Severance” for the streamer, and now word comes that she’ll topline and exec produce “High Desert.” Deadline broke the news.
Created and written by Nancy Fichman (“Nurse Jackie”), Katie Ford (“Miss Congeniality”), and Jennifer Hoppe (“Dietland”), “High Desert” follows Peggy (Arquette), a former addict “who decides to make a new start after the death of her mother with whom she lived in the small desert town of Yucca Valley, California,” the source details. Peggy “makes a life-changing decision to become a private investigator.”
Arquette won an Oscar for her performance in “Boyhood” and Emmys for her roles in “The Act” and “Medium.”
Other Apple TV+ projects on our radar include Sofia Coppola’s father-daughter comedy “On the Rocks” and a Beanie Feldstein-voiced “Harriet the Spy” animated series.
