ReFrame, the coalition dedicated to improving gender representation across all areas of the film industry, is bringing women-led and -made entertainment to Delta Airlines. The two organizations have partnered to create in-flight movie and TV channels that will air projects that have received the ReFrame Stamp. ReFrame presents that badge of honor to projects that employ women-identifying individuals in at least four of these eight key roles: writer, director, producer, lead, co-lead, speaking parts, department heads, and crew.
The ReFrame Movie and Show Channels will launch in February, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.
Per the partnership, Delta will also donate $100,000 to ReFrame. The airline bestows an annual in-kind contribution to Women in Film, which is among ReFrame’s founding members.
“The Farewell,” “Late Night,” “Booksmart,” “Killing Eve,” and “Queen Sugar” are among the titles that will be available on ReFrame’s in-flight channels. More programming will be added throughout the year as other projects receive the ReFrame Stamp.
“We are thrilled to partner with Delta to celebrate gender-balanced films and television shows,” ReFrame co-founders Keri Putnam and Cathy Schulman stated. “We believe that diverse, impactful stories from artists around the world help us connect to new perspectives and drive meaningful dialogue — bringing all of us closer together.”
