Thirteen years after “Sex and the City” ended its run, Sarah Jessica Parker has announced her return to HBO to explore another facet of modern womanhood. In a single-cam comedy called “Divorce,” which just received an order to series from the premium cable network, Parker will play a woman flirting with the idea of ending her marriage when her husband discovers the affair she’s having and initiates a separation.
Molly Shannon and Talia Balsam will play Parker’s newly single best friends.
Parker will executive produce, while Sharon Horgan will serve as showrunner. The series will begin filming in New York this year.
Fingers crossed that HBO will pick up its comedy projects with Sarah Silverman and Issa Rae too.
