Weeks after her “Euphoria” co-star Zendaya made history as the youngest woman to ever receive an Emmy nom for producing, Storm Reid has signed on to produce a project of her own, “Becoming Noble.” She’ll also topline the Paramount Pictures coming-of-age pic.
According to Deadline, the film “centers on the high school senior Noble (Reid), who after finding out she is a Princess in an African nation, travels to her home country on the continent to discover her roots — and to determine if royal is something she really wants to be.”
Nneka Gerstle (“Just Beyond”) penned the script.
Reid plays Zendaya’s little sister on “Euphoria.” The hit HBO series is set to return for a third season. Her other credits include “The Suicide Squad,” “When They See Us,” and “A Wrinkle in Time.”
“For me, empowering young women — and empowering all people — but empowering women, in particular, is important because I was once that little girl. I’d stare at the television and find inspiration in people like Zendaya and Keke Palmer,” Reid told Elle in 2021. “[It’s refreshing] to be able to see yourself be represented in the film, television, and fashion; it’s refreshing to see women succeed and do good things and to be celebrated and empowered.”
