Not having a tween or being a tween, the Taylor Swift phenomenon almost past me by. Saw her last night on 60 Minutes a couple of hours before she won Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards. (The evening awards were dominated by women.)
Did you know she is the only artist to have a number 1 record on the pop charts and the country charts at the same time. She also created her own management company and runs in and understands the responsibility she has to the teenage girls who are her fans.
I also found it quite interesting that a writer from Billboard Magazine said that if she weren’t as pretty as she is and if she wasn’t writing songs for young girls then she would be looked at as a great songwriter.
I am now a fan.
