A lot has changed since Amy Schumer’s last Netflix stand-up special, 2017’s “The Leather Special.” “I’m fucking pregnant!” the Emmy winner exclaims in a trailer for “Growing,” which debuts on the streamer March 19. “Here’s the thing,” Schumer says. “You’re pregnant but you don’t change who you are. I hate women who start to act really precious. You don’t stop working or drinking.”
The “Trainwreck” screenwriter and star also got married last year, but isn’t feeling precious about that, either. “Everybody got married. I was the last one,” she explains. “I think I don’t have to be a bridesmaid anymore. When you get in your late 30s there’s no dignity to it. It’s me in a Coachella flower halo hoping I’m not the bridesmaid with the biggest arm.”
Schumer also sounds off on her difficult pregnancy. “If you’re someone who enjoyed being pregnant, I hope your car flips over,” the “I Feel Pretty” actress tells the audience.
“Growing” is Schumer’s fourth stand-up special, following “The Leather Special,” 2015’s “Live at the Apollo,” and 2012’s “Amy Schumer: Mostly Sex Stuff.” It was filmed in Chicago.
