Netflix is paying tribute to a global pop sensation. The streamer just released a trailer for “Blackpink: Light Up the Sky,” a doc charting the meteoric rise of the chart-topping K-pop girl group.
Directed by Caroline Suh, the project follows Blackpink members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa in the studio, on the stage, and behind the scenes, where they reflect on their past, present, and future.
“We grew into something that we didn’t even know was possible,” the group admits.
Blackpink’s hits include “Ddu-du Ddu-du,” “Kill This Love,” and “How You Like That.”
“Salt Fat Acid Heat,” “The 4%: Film’s Gender Problem,” and “Frontrunners” are among Suh’s previous credits.
“Blackpink: Light Up the Sky” debuts on Netflix October 14.
