“At the beginning she gave me things. Perfect balance. Perfect sleep. Now she wants to get inside of me. I can feel her. She can see me,” says Chloë Grace Moretz in a new trailer for “Suspiria.” She adds, “There’s more in that building that what you can see.”
The building she’s referring to houses a prestigious all-female dance company. Inside, we’re told that there are “three mothers, three gods,” and they seem to have supernatural abilities that they use to control and torment the dancers. Mother Suspiria is described only as “darkness.”
Set in 1970s Berlin, the highly anticipated remake stars “Fifty Shades of Grey’s” Dakota Johnson as Susie, an ambitious American dancer who joins the company. The spot sees Susie accused of “making a deal with them,” though it’s not specified who. She and its artistic director (Tilda Swinton) and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf) “become entangled in a bloody, sighing nightmare,” according to the film’s official synopsis.

“Suspiria” hits theaters October 26 and expands nationwide November 2. The film re-teams Johnson with her “A Bigger Splash” director Luca Guadagnino, who most recently helmed “Call Me by Your Name.”
