Trailer Watch: Gillian Jacobs, Vanessa Bayer, and Phoebe Robinson are BFFs in “Ibiza”

“Ibiza”

“Love” is over but Gillian Jacobs has found romance abroad. A trailer has dropped for “Ibiza,” a comedy that sees the “Community” alumna heading to Barcelona for work and reluctantly agreeing to take her friends along for the trip.

Initially worried about being distracted by her friends, Harper (Jacobs) has an amazing time in Spain with Nikki (Vanessa Bayer, “SNL”) and Leah (Phoebe Robinson, “I Love Dick”) — so amazing that she doesn’t want the party to stop. “My give-a-fuck meter is at zero,” she tells her pals. When Harper forms a “real connection” with a DJ at a club, her friends convince her to fly to Ibiza to watch him play a set — and see him one last time — before they leave the continent and return to New York. The only problem is that Harper has an important meeting the next night in Barcelona.

“This is destiny. Some people land on the moon. Others cure diseases. You smash this DJ,” says Leah. And Harper can’t argue.

The third and final season of Jacobs-starrer “Love” debuted on Netflix in March. She’ll next be seen in Melissa McCarthy’s college-set comedy “Life of the Party,” set to bow May 11.

Bayer’s recent credits include guest spots on “Drunk History,” “Will & Grace,” and “Love.” She played the ex-girlfriend of Jacob’s character’s boyfriend in the latter.

Robinson and Jessica Williams just brought their podcast “2 Dope Queens” to HBO. The premium cable network aired four hour-long specials hosted by the duo.

Written by Funny or Die’s Lauryn Kahn, “Ibiza” hits Netflix May 25.
