Lana Condor is determined to make the most out of the little life she has left in “Boo, Bitch.” From showrunners Erin Ehrlich (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”) and Lauren Iungerich (“On My Block”), the limited Netflix series sees the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” breakout playing Erica, a high school senior ready to transform her life. In the midst of promising her best friend (Margaret Colletti, “Fear the Walking Dead”) to live the rest of their lives without “giving any fucks,” she’s hit by a car.
Now a ghost, Erica vows to “get down to business” until she can figure out her unfinished business in the mortal world. She discovers a loophole — she can stick around Earth if she’s more famous in death than in life. Thus begins her journey to take over social media, a mission that sees her radically changing her personality and alienating her BFF in the process. “I’m evolving, and as my close friend you should allow me to grow — my following,” Erica tells her.
Besides the “To All the Boys” trilogy, Condor’s other credits include “Moonshot” and “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
“Boo, Bitch” debuts July 8.
