Are you ready to blackout with your rack out? From creators Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, “The Sex Lives of College Girls” follows four roommates at a prestigious New England college. Like its title suggests, the comedy is more interested in what’s going on in Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet), Bela (Amrit Kaur), Leighton (Renee Rapp), and Whitney’s (Alya Chanelle Scott) bedrooms than what they’re learning in lecture halls.
A new trailer for the HBO Max series introduces us to the four friends. Kimberly is “so excited that classes are finally starting.” Bela doesn’t even know what classes she’s taking, but she’s interested in learning more about one particular revolutionary. “Young Stalin could get it,” she says admiringly. “Dude could have been on ‘Riverdale.'” Leighton is sorority-bound, and Whitney, an athlete, is faking it till she makes it with a one night stand.
“Never Have I Ever,” a coming-of-age comedy about an Indian American teenager that Kaling co-created with Lang Fisher, dropped its second season in July and has been renewed for a third by Netflix. The six-time Emmy nominee’s upcoming slate includes Reese Witherspoon-starrer “Legally Blonde 3” and HBO Max’s adaptation of Jennifer Weiner’s “Good in Bed.” The “Office” and “Mindy Project” alumna’s most recent on-screen credits include “The Morning Show” and “Locked Down.”
