Sarah Jessica Parker is back with another rom com. A trailer has been released for writer-director Ella Lemhagen’s "All Roads Lead To Rome," and as the film’s title suggests, the former "Sex and the City" star will be struck by cupid’s bow in scenic Italy.
Parker plays Maggie, a New York-based college writing instructor and single mom. She doesn’t head abroad to get her groove back — she’s taking Summer (Rosie Day, "Outlander"), her rebellious teen daughter, on vacation. But Summer isn’t interested in being her mother’s travel companion. "I’m being kidnapped," she complains to airport security.
Maggie is unexpectedly reunited with Luca (Raoul Bova, "Do You See Me?"), a former Italian flame. While much time has passed since they’ve last seen each other, their chemistry remains firmly intact.
But what’s a love story without obstacles? Summer steals a car — with Luca’s Italian mama in it — in a desperate bid to get to the airport. So Maggie and Luca pursue them, falling hard and fast in love with each other along the way. "I wish I had stayed instead of running away," confesses Maggie.
You can catch "All Roads Lead To Rome" in theaters and on VOD on February 5.
