As the trailers for The East continue to roll out and with its recent outing at SXSW, the buzz for Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij’s tense thriller is growing.
The film stars Marling as Sarah, a brilliant operative for a private investigation firm who protects the interests of corporate clients. Sarah goes undercover to infiltrate an anarchist group who is known for attacking those same clients Sarah protects. Things get complicated when Sarah begins to fall for their leader. Ellen Page and Patricia Clarkson also star.
The East hits theaters on May 31st.
